A farm record is sensitive - it holds both livelihood and financial history. Here is what we store, how long we keep it, who can see it, and where the honest limits are.
What is stored
Season plans, input-cost entries, yield forecasts, and the eligibility signals derived from them. Financial records are held only as needed to support financing you pursue.
Retention
Records are kept for as long as an account is active, so a multi-season history stays intact. On closure, data is removed or anonymised within a defined window.
Access scope
Access is limited by role. A farmer sees their own record in full; a lender sees only what a farmer's financing request exposes; a cooperative sees agreed member data.
Encrypted in transit and at rest.
Data moving between a device and Bdferms is encrypted in transit, and stored records are encrypted at rest. Access to production data is restricted and logged, and credentials are never shared in plain form.

Credit scoring is decision support - not an automatic verdict.
Bdferms credit scoring exists to give lenders better context. It does not automatically approve or reject anyone. A human lender always makes the final call, and a farmer can always see the record their profile is built from.
Stated clearly. No financing outcome on Bdferms is decided by an algorithm alone.

Data handling follows the practices set out on this page, and controls are tightened as the platform and its lender partnerships grow.
